I'm looking for some advice on Portable MP3 Recorders. I want to give some
thing to my grand father too do some oral history recording. He lives a
couple of hour drive away otherwise I'd just bring the Macbook and directly
record him.
iRiver seems to be the recorder for doing Podcasts, but appears to be
Windows only. Easy to use (and support!) with a large LCD screen would be
best. Also ~2gb would be nice so that we could record at 320k and still get
25+ hours of recording out of it.
I'd like to stay in the $150 range if possible. Amazon has the iRiver H1 for
fairly cheap, the Sandisk SDMX4 -

And the RCA TH1102 -

Which all look good. But not a single one says it's Mac compatible, nor does
my late night searching of Google.
Thanks much!
Rick
