No. But I've heard it rarely does what is expected of it (long term). A
sister-in-law had it 1.5 years ago. She wasn't particularly large, but
had curves. She had uncontrollable diabetes and the surgery was a last
hope effort to bring it under control. The diabetes is completely under
control and she lost weight, but now she has hanging sheets of skin that
make her look like she's melting. It's highly unattractive and I wish
she'd stop wearing shorts. The skin problem won't ever go away.
My SIL had no underlying eating issues. Apparently those who do will
regain all the weight in time.
Personally, I don't find fat unattractive, and I consider it a normal
part of aging.
