At my previous job we had literally thousands of various Trendnet switches.
They were kicked, stepped on, taped to tables, tossed in boxes, thrown
around, ran in stifling hot rooms and generally abused far beyond their
expectancy but would keep on working. In 6 years I only ever saw maybe a
dozen bad ones. 

I'd personally buy Trendnet over any of the other commodity brands, and even
over many of the high end brands.
