Forgot to complete my train of thought:

Does anyone have recommendations on a source for a *known working* LTO1
or LTO2 drive at a reasonable price?  I've looked at eBay, but virtually
all the LTO listings say either "as is" or "not tested" or "powers up"
or "removed from a working system", no-one will actually commit to
saying "This drive works".  Yeah, well, MY LTO1 "powers up", but it
doesn't *work* ... so "powers up" doesn't really count for shit.
