i have 10.6 for s8, the last ver i could find precompiled.  video is
-crap-; looks like a bad comic book halftone screen.  it was even
worse on a tgx before i got a creator fb.  it also crashes with an
undefined symbol on realaudio around 16kb/s, which made listening to
internet radio when i was on dialup impossible.

i've ended up using rp8 for s2.6 because it just dtrt, even if it
leaks mem like a sieve and hogs cpu.  it also has the sometimes-
annoying feature that only one rp8 can run on a display at a time; if
you try to start another it just signals the first to change source.
this can be neat for setting up custom internet-radio programming with
atjobs though.

currently i'm compilerless.  presently i'll reinstall my other system
with enough room for both gcc and forte.
