I decided that I value uptime and longevity but my pockets are not
soaked with cash.  I purchased my sense of humor used and it turns out
to be one of those problematic models you love to hate; great when it
works, frustrating when it misfires.

In other words I was well aware of the irony inherent in my .sig file
when I set it up vis sending email to public archived mail lists such as
Geeks.  I may even have chuckled a bit at the time.  But it has been
many months since I set that up.   What I was doing was just hitting
'send' or 'reply' without thinking.
