In the U.S. we had one installed that went clipped into the panel like
a 240 volt circuit breaker. It had LEDs to show you it was still working.
(It probably was just MOVs). It died later and we tried to get it replaced
under warranty. The manufacturer refused saying that it failed because it
did its job. 

We replaced it and that was soon before I had the antenna installed.
