I've never gotten a bill for $0, but I do get a periodic statement from
a bank for $0.00. When I bought my last car, I went to a credit union
for a competitive bid on the loan. Turned out, they couldn't beat the
dealership, the manufacturer was trying to move cars and they gave
me a great rate. It seems the credit union opened an account in my
name during the process, but there is no money in it, yet I still get
a statement from them. One of these days, I'll call them up and see
what I need to do about clearing that out, lest it do something with my
credit rating.
