[geeks] OLD Thinkpad Disk issue

Unlurking for a moment.

I have an older thinkpad (380ED) that I've fought into a usable
configuration (80mb ram, 30 gb disk (via a DDO as it has an 8gb bios
limit on disk) and will soon have a 16 bit wireless card for it.

SO... what else can I do to this beast to make it live longer?  I'd
prefer older windog solutions simply due to the fact they have less
trash associated...
