While this is not the worst possible thing to happen to someone (I can
think of a lot worse) it's at times when something like this happens
that I think "Who did I piss off in this universe to deserve this?"
Monday I come down with strep throat...felt miserable. Now, mind you,
my two little girls are home sick with some sort of virus that one of
them picked up at school. Tuesday, I feel like I'm death's door and I
manage to get a hold of my ENT and he calls in a prescription for
penecillin. I start to feel better the next day. Today, earlier, I
start feeling achy again, congested...sore throat. Yep, I contracted
the flu from one of my daughters (who are still sick with it) and now
I'm in the initial stages of that fun. So, in an act of contrition, I
ask forgiveness from anyone I may have pissed off, offended, or
otherwise upset with anything I said. Maybe I'll merit some
compassion from the universe/God and I'll be granted a speedy
recovery. Then again, maybe I won't...but hey it's worth a shot (I
feel pretty lousy right now and I've got a boat-load of things that
need to get done).

And now back to our regularly scheduled program...
