[geeks] personal laser printer

I am looking for a decent personal laser printer.

It must work with UNIX of course.

I see a lot of them which say the text is excellent but the graphics are 
not, like the HP 1160, the Samsung 20xx, and so on.

Does anyone here have one of the personal laser printers, who can 
comment on exactly what "mediocre graphics" really means?

None of the reviews I've found have pictures of the output, or any 
really useful description of what they mean.  Sometimes they'll mention 
things like banding, which I hate, but other times they just say 
"graphics are not the best", and I have no idea what that means.

My main uses will be text, and graphics like maps and drawings.

Any pointers or personal experiences appreciated.
