That's another to go down on the upgrade list then, joining:
Don't update your Powerbook OS with the battery installed.
I lost a full-charging battery on my Pismo with the 10.2.6
update. Apple ack'd the problem with 10.2.6 killing iBook
batteries, but would not for Pismos.
