[geeks] Q: compiling Linux-PAM on Solaris

Any geeks out there compiled this for Solaris?

I've found a bunch of mentions for the older versions
and building on Solaris, but no step-by-steps.  It
doesn't use autoconf, and my limited understanding
of how gcc passes flags to Solaris ld hasn't allowed
me to hack it to compile.

Barring actual experience with Linux-PAM on Solaris,
is GNU ld workable on Solaris these days?  I know
previously there was some issues with it.
