Single CPU socket A motherboards with 4 DIMM slots:

ABIT "KW7" (KT880 Chipset)
ASUS "A7V880" (VIA KT880 Chipset)
SOYO "SY-KT880Dragon2v2.0 RT" (VIA KT880 Chipset)
SOYO "SY-KT880 DRAGON 2" (KT880 Chipset)
GIGABYTE "GA-7N400-L" (nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset)
GIGABYTE "GA-7N400 Pro2 Rev 2" (nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset)

Dual CPU socket A motherboards with 4 DIMM slots:

TYAN "Tiger MPX (S2466N-4M)" (AMD-760 MPX Chipset)
TYAN "Thunder K7X Pro(S2469GN)" (AMD-760 MPX Chipset)
GIGABYTE "GA-7DPXDW-P" (AMD-760 MPX Chipset)

While those last three motheroards are interesting, I've been eyeing the
Tyan K8WE (dual Opteron, dual nForce 4 chipset, dual PCI-E x16, three
PCI-X slots, SATA-2 NCQ support, dual gigabit ethernet, dual Firewire, LSI
53C1030 U320 SCSI controller, and eight DIMM slots for 16GB max memory
with NUMA support) - how's the Solaris support for that?
