An interesting aside is that when at XIG.com we did testing and our
well-designed drivers under X11 performed *better* than NT4 graphics
drivers on the same hardware (e.g. Matrox Millenium).
And of course the X server does not run in-kernel.
Adding the GDI into the NT kernel was a mistake.
