How do you tell an IRIX box to use a NIS master that's on a different subnet? I've tried ypset, I've tried setting "nis_servers=<ipaddress>" in /etc/nsswitch.conf (as stated in the SGI documentation I could find). None works so far. I can ping the NIS server, I can telnet to it, I just can't get this machine (6.5.x) to *bind* to it.. Bill -- bill bradford austin texas
