I have a problem for the assembled intellects.

I have recently discovered that the key chord Ctrl-Alt-P, *anywhere* in
an X session on my Linux machine, causes the machine to switch to an
unused virtual console that does not have a getty running on it (I
haven't yet determined which virtual console, nor do I specially care).
The puzzle that I have so far been unable to solve is what is hooking
Ctrl-Alt-P and causing that switch, except that I think I have ruled out
the window manager (fvwm-2.5.10) by binding Ctrl-Alt-P to something else
in the window manager, and observing that the bound action does not
happen.  Whatever is trapping it is apparently doing so before the
window manager even receives it.

Can anyone suggest what might be trapping this keychord, or how I can
find out what's trapping it, with an eye to disabling it?  As far as I
can tell, it's the only keychord that acts in this unexpected way.
