Apparently Fantom was licensing Dyson's "cyclone" bagless technology over
here, and they've now gone out of business.  Dyson started selling them here
two years ago.

- its quality
- no tools required for COMPLETE dissasembly
- the cannister empties from the BOTTOM, and has a built-in lid
- works MUCH BETTER than the Lightning (we vac'ed with the Fantom 2-3 days
  ago - just re did the same area with the Dyson, and 2-3 cups of stuff 
  got picked up..)
- Animal-hair beater attachment.  Lots of gadgets.
- PURPLE!  (I said "it looks like an anime vacuum")

We got a factory refurb model (6 month factory warranty, 1 year from the
place we got it from, ABC Vacuum here in austin, www.abcvacuum.com) for
$350.  List is $519.
