I had (and recently sold) a Paul Chen Practical Katana. I'd go for one
of those, or a Practical Plus Katana (the main difference being that the
PPK is properly dissasemble-able, while the PK's handle is glued-on).
I paid about $150 for the PK, and a PPK goes for $200-225ish. Got mine
from J-Armory (www.j-armory.com). They're in town, so I was able to go
pick it up in person (and pick mine from the best ones he had in stock).

Dont get a Cold Steel, they're overpriced. Get a Paul Chen or a
Last Legend (which J-Armory sells as well).
