Perp who did it drove away leaving you with damages and
no one to bill for them?

Make sure that next time they won't drive away.  Strategically
placed boulders are functional AND decorative, and you don't
need a solid line of them.  You can space them out enough
that a car can't squeeze between them and it will increase
the damage to the car because it will crush in at one point.

With the fence currently down, now would be a good time to
have the boulders installed.
