Heh.

On Metric Blvd. (not all that far from the picture, actually), there's
an office park named "Metric Center" or some other such boring thing.
Their signs are all upright rectangles with Metric written down the
right side, and hash marks on the left to indicate some sort of ruler;
obviously a pun on "metric".

However, rather than being hashed in 1/10ths, they're hashed in halves,
quarters, and eighths.
