I'd look for a Guitar Center (http://www.guitarcenter.com).  I had to make 
them dig around in back for one, though - they'll usually have the 
more-expensive Epi LPs and Gibson LPs on display (of course, they want to 
make more of a profit).

I actually played this one, then played a $1200 Epi Elite LP Standard (one
of the top-of-the-line Epi LPs) and liked the $99 special *better* - it was
thinner and lighter than the more expensive model, which was almost too 
heavy for my tastes.

They've also got the two-pickup version for $50 more.
