New Olympic Event?
The Register reported that the Ukraine was the site of
the "First Open Computer Destruction Championship". The
event was organized by a radio station in the town of
Zaporizhzhya and included "keyboard chucking", "mouse
kicking", and the creative destruction of computer
monitors. The winning distance, and we assume, world
record, for keyboard chucking was 40.2 meters (132.88
feet!). No medals for the winners, they received
computer equipment as prizes. Wonder if the recent
spate of viruses helped the competitors in their
training?
