Hi Lads

Has anyone else seen the following article?

http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/6/33322.html

Basically, a security researcher is being threatened under the DMCA for
publishing the observation that a particular company's copy protection
software can be bypassed in Windows by holding down the shift key (i.e.
to disable autorun). Apparently the DMCA makes it illegal to distribute
information on how to circumvent a particular implementation of copy
protection - no matter how trivial.

Now I understand why we need organisations like the EFF.

Regards,

Gavin
