I thought they were having trouble with that.
The figures I've read don't show this, but then its hard to keep up with
this stuff.

The guts on the Itanium systems I have seen were garden-variety PC guts.
Same for quite a few of the DEC Alpha systems I've had.
The Altix and some of the high-end HP stuff are different of course, but
then there are plenty of Intel systems that are nothing like a PC as
well.
A machine that shares most of the same guts as my AMD Athlon system but
has a different CPU... that's not a PC?
I generally call it PC when it has Intel/AMD guts, but in the 90s
workstations started using commodity parts, and the lines were blurred.
