[geeks] G5 bus questions

I was lazily reading through comp.sys.sgi.hardware today and noticed a thread in which people were debating the merits of the new G5 vs an SGI Fuel.

One post stated the following: 

"CPU, 8 gigs RAM, rapid crossbar like interconnect, G5 qualifies (as a workstation)".

I know that the dual G5 supposedly has a separate bus for each CPU but is it actually "crossbar like"?  I did not get this form the G5 info i read, but then again i didn't go over it thoroughly either.
