SO don't use it. A package mangler^Wmanager is NOT the essence of a
distribution. Grab tarballs, and build from source. especially easy on
a consistent hardware/software platform, where you build once and roll
to a number of boxes.
At my ex-office, there were a couple thousand linux boxes, and 8
Sol/x86 boxes that were the biggest pain in the ass you could possibly
bear from production systems without throwing them off the roof of a
tall building. The device support is SO limited, you better make sure
you go shopping first with the hardware list in hand. Then, when you
get them up and running, it's NOT consistent with Sol/SPARC. There are
enough similarities to make you THINK you're on a Solaris system, but
then something changes, and all of a sudden you realize it's just a
peecee.
