Very interesting. I'm glad that they're pushing some of their server-side
stuff as the OSX licensing model has some definite cost advantages over the
MS server products (provided Apple doesn't continue charging for 'service
packs' 10.3/10.4/10.5 etc :-)
I'm intrigued that they've implemented IDE drives within the RAID chassis.
Since the RAID functions are presumably off-loaded to an embedded RAID
processor with the array this makes a certain amount of sense. The quoted
figure of 2.52TB raw storage in only 3U of rack space seems pretty
impressive. That's what - 35TB per 42U rack?
