It was just a way of expressing surprise that you would choose to quote 
a socialist when I (and many others in Europe) believe most USians will 
automatically reject anything to do with socialism.

<Perhaps, Mike, you're mistaking the process for the solution?  A fair
number of people here (US) like the stated _goals_ of Socialism, but the
process _of_ Socialism give them (well, me) the creeping willies.>
