Up until I was in my early 20's I was seriously obsessed with aircraft,
especially with unusual or special operations aircraft. I started flying
at the age of 13. I got my private pilots license on my 17th birthday. I
joined the Air Force Reserves through the delayed entry program that
same day. The college I chose produces more air force officer than any
non service academym including me. While I was in that college I met
many people involved in the space program, and in the SR-71 and U2/TR-1A
projects. I am still obsessed with aircraft, but to a lesser degree.

I can be an obsessive person when it comes to knowledge. When I become
interested in something I research and try to experience that thing to
the point of near madness. I talk to everyone I can, read every book or
article, find every computer resource etc... I research related fields.
I ask everyone I meet involved in those fields questions. I try and get
them to talk about what they do, how they do it, and why.

I'm a chronic insomniac. When most people are sleeping, I'm reading or
watching documentaries and sci-tech programs. I sleep on average 4 hours
per day and that's only after years of effort. I used to go days at a
time without sleep. I still do sometimes.

I have a very strange memory. At times it is near eidetic, but I'm often
ridiculously absent minded. I tend to remember concepts incredibly well
but often forget times, dates, and names.

I'm a trivia maniac. I read.. Well basically devour trivia of any kind.
Books, television, quiz shows whatever.

Does that explain it?
