I've become a big fan of Jim Knoble's Neep font.  Fixed width, easy on 
the eyes, and "one" and "ell" are easy to tell apart.

I use it at 18pt in fullscreen xterms at 1600x1200 on a 22 inch monitor 
(ratpoison+xterm+screen, for when you prefer the terminal, but need a 
few X apps).  Very readable.
