The motor is a Briggs and Straton with a gear-type oil pump. The really
corny thing about this? The 1968 set of World Book Encyclopedia has a
picture of a gasoline engine -- courtesy of Briggs and Stration -- they
look identical.
Last time it was fired up it ran (some ten or so years ago). The previous
owner advised me that I should change the gaskets before attempting to
start it, and gave me a few hints on how to do that.
