Well, I (finally) got my "new" car this week, a slightly used 2001 Nissan
Altima. My first week, I installed its new car stereo, and mp3 jukebox
from ssi America.
I'm currently planning on working on geekifying the navigation system
next. I currently have a puny little Garmin emap, and i'm planning on
hooking it up to a laptop or touch-screen kinda thing. The garmin comes
with software that runs under windoze that will let me geekify nicely.
This brings me to my question. Does anyone know anything about making
touchscren stuff work under windows? I've never done anything like this,
and i'm not even sure where to start. Can you make it work like a mouse,
or do you really have to hack at stuff to get it working?
Or better yet... Do any of you know of any apps that run under Other OSen,
that can talk to this thing? The Garmin protocol is fully documented, and
it can also speak NMEA.
