[geeks] Exabyte 8700 questions...

Finally got the Advansys PCI card working in my server (Cyrix CPU, SUSE 
7.1)  and was able to hook up my 8mm 8700 tape backup.  It works but it 
does one thing that bothers me though - on some of the 8mm tapes (1 new 
one) it just spits it right back out after I put it in. Anybody see this 
before?

Also, is using a bulk-eraser the only way to get rid of old formats?  mt 
doesn't seem to work right.  Arkeia sees the tapes but doesn't seem to 
want ot let me do anything with them.
