list overnight.  The best response was :

Also be clear that in this context, OpenWindows only refers to the
OpenLook DeskSet tools and Interface Libraries, and DOES NOT include
any of the core X11 tools/libraries, even though all our old documentation
lumped those in as part of OpenWindows and many people still consider them
part of OpenWindows.  Anything delivered in a SUNWxw* package is not part
of the OpenWin EOL.

So basically things have changed. OpenWindows used to refer to X11/etc,
but not any more.
