[geeks] NY City question

I'm headed to NY City on Monday or an interview (w00t!) and am wondering
what the best way to get from Penn station to Broad St is.  They
mentioned that a cab might be easiest, but I have a minor discomfort
with cabs - not in control of the vehicle.  Oddly, I don't have the same
level of discomfort with trains/subways...

Any details would be most helpful, and much appreciated.
