[geeks] P2 VRM

It all depends. I have seen some PII boards with VRM's, but my Tyan Tiger
100 doesn't use VRM's (neither do any of the Dual PII/III boards at work).

Most Xeon and dual PPro boards use VRM's.

Is there such a thing? All I had to do in my tyan machine was buy a second
CPU and slap it in. But I keep seeing ebay sellers describe P2 machines
as no CPU, no VRM.

I'm attempting to upgrade my sisters machine. She isn't going to switch to
linux, etc anytime soon, and I can't afford a good enough Mac (in
particular,
I can't afford the software for it) and neither can she. I thought that
maybe
a dual processor machine with Windows 2k would be reasonable. Maybe I'll
luck out and it'll end up being one of those crash free machines.
