I'd like it to give verbal notice of status changes, like when my stupid ISP hangs up on me and it has to redial.  And while I am on the subject, all you guys with available cable/DSL connections, I'm jealous.  I am running a 33.6 modem 'cause my connection usually doesn't fill that.  I saw a 19.2 the other day.  But I am not jealous enough to move closer to civilazation.


Try festival at http://www.cstr.ed.ac.uk/projects/festival.html.  It builds and runs under NetBSD, so OpenBSD shouldn't be a problem.
