It's not like there's a lot to decode.  I think the
list of what a dog thinks is about:

1) I want to smell your ass
2) I want to smell this dead thing I found
3) I want to smell this pile of shit.
4) I want to smell this pile of garbage.
5) I want to eat.
6) I want to eat that cat.
7) I want to eat whatever that little animal is over there.
8) I want to eat one or more of items 2-4 I just smelled.
9) I want to go out so I can do one or more of items 1-8.

And for little yip-dogs:

10) I'm big and mean and will eat you although I don't realize
    you could stomp me with your foot.
