Because it's neither rampantly silly nor implausible!? :)

Whilst we're still on the subject of film and with reference to the thread
about Tetsuo, I can heartily recommend Ringu / Ring [
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0178868 ]. I haven't been disturbed or scared by a
film for a long time and watching that on my own, I have to admit to being a
little unsettled.
