The Food Police would have you believe that this is a Bad Idea.  I
dunno, 30 years later and I'm still okay...

I think they say that because they're scared of people undercooking a
turkey/chicken/goose and getting some sort of illness from eating
stuffing imbued with uncooked poultry juices.  Yeah, it's a risk, but if
you make sure the thing is done before chomping ito it, all will be
well.

My mom did it, her mom did it, and my dad's mom did it.  Every
Thanksgiving I've been at has had a turkey with stuffing in it [1] -
that's why it's called stuffing :)

[1] Except when we visit the italian side of Karin's family.  I swear
I've never seen so much prime rib in one place - even at steak houses on
a busy Saturday night!
