Yes, it seems that a ZX will do what I need...now, the hard part...finding
one and connecting it to the TV & seeing if NetBSD will play nice with it.

Hrm...or maybe one of those sbus boards that spits out a VGA compatible
signal & then a VGA to NTSC converter...
