Actually, I went back through the original subscription messages and the
mail headers and figured out that I had subscribed with a slight variant
of the address as it appears in a sent message. A stupid newbie mistake
and I'm real embarrassed about it. At the moment I'm subscribed twice,
with mail receipt turned off on one subscription. Once I get a chance
I'll clean that up too. I had several of your (well, Bill's) other
lists screwed up also.
Apparently the subscription confirmation reply thingy [wow that's real
technical isn't it] doesn't apply the address test rules that the
article receipt thingy does, so I was able to subscribe with a
semi-bogus address.
