You're at least partially correct.  I require that my ISP not try to block
any spam, because I know damned well that I can do a better job myself.
The day my ISP starts filtering *any* of my traffic, whether it be mail,
web or anything else, is the day I choose a different provider.

And yes, I want to receive spam that is addressed to me for other reasons
too.  Some of it is damned funny.  And when I generate statistics from my
mail, I would like them to be accurate.  And I'd like to be able to tweak
my spamassassin settings to be more accurate - a job that requires full,
unexpurgated data.

As for the comment someone made about spamassasin catching a percent or
two of valid mail - that's why I only use it to filter into a seperate
mailbox, not to delete mail.
