A sun workstation, AFAIK, will cost far less than courses at a technical
school or college.  A nice SS10 with Solaris 8 should do fine for
learning Solaris.  If you want to learn about newer hardware, a U-30 is
dirt cheap these days.

There's always docs.sun.com, too...
