Here in RI a few M1 Garands were stolen from a navy base a couple years
ago.  You shoulda seen the stink that erupted!  The Navy was **all
over** Newport and Middletown searching for the rifles - and these were
only used for for ceremonial stuff (i.e. possibly not operational)!
