As I usually lurk on the lists as I am normally about a day behind in
reading:

Phil Schilling born 8/24/62 in Royal, Iowa.  Grew up in Northwest Iowa,
after high school decided I needed to be in California and moved to the
Bay area and worked with a small company providing unix support to
primarily higher education facilities.  That was the early eighties. 
Moved back to northwest Iowa and started my own business providing
network support to businesses. Primarily unix or *nix but unfortunately
even MS and Novell. (life in small town midwest).  No real schooling
except real life must learn to make work.
