We have some of those.  Somedays I appreciate not getting hit with the
full brightness all at once, somedays I wonder why the lights are so
dim when I turn them on, and somedays they just plain annoy me.  

But, if you intend to leave a particular set of lights on all the
time, I suspect this are the best bulbs for that job.
