At the moment 4 always on. 3 get left on a lot of the time, but not exactly
24/7. I'm working on configuring 2 servers here (a caching proxy and a NAT),
which will bring it up to 6 24/7, plus the 3 on most of the time. Then I will
start looking to build myself a DB server (probably an SS10 dual or quad
solaris w/ fddi running postgress), bring the all the time number up to 7.
There are a number of machine here that would be on more if I had them working.
For instance, I have a javastation (might use it for developing tweo
"alternative" linux distros that I have in mind), a P166mmx, and a 712 that
need to be configured to go into use, then they will be on a lot. But first I
need to get my SS2 router (need cash to buy new drives) and 486 cache (just
need time) going.
Computers that take any time to boot tend to be left on around here. Monitors
are always put to sleep or turned off when not in use though.
