Its actually VERY comfortable; the "back plate" (actually, thin plastic
with a pad on it); I dont notice it at all when sleeping on my back. I
mostly sleep on my side anyway, and this mask (actually called "nasal
pillows", for an obvious reason; the Ultra Mirage mask is actually a
cup/seal that goes over my entire nose instead of the nostrils) is the
least obtrusive of any I've used. Just over the top of my head, and
the only thing I feel, if at all, is the pressure of the "front end"
below my nose.
With my old Mirage mask, I had a big headgear/straps contraption I had to
use to keep it on my face at night, and it didnt work well because I sleep
on my side mostly - switched to the Breeze and its been great.
I know, at first I was like "how the hell am I gonna sleep with something like
that on" - but now I dont even notice it. It *lets* me sleep.
The first night I had it, I slept four hours - and felt like I'd been asleep
for DAYS. It ELIMINATED my snoring - amy kept coming in to check on me because
I *wasnt* making noise.
Best thing - we can now sleep in the same bed again. (yes, my snoring was THAT
bad..)
